Last week was my little boys 1st Birthday. We had an amazing day at the Zoo and decided to meet Nanny for an early dinner on the way back. We decided to try the new Brewers Fayre which has just been built on the old gas works site along the seafront. Now i am not going to lie I was not expecting much at all.
However I have to say I was extremely surprised! The first thing I have to comment on is the staff that were in that day. Our server was amazing! The sort of customer service I haven't seen in a very long time! Not only did she look after us well but she made a lot of fuss of my little boy and it was genuine.
Aside from this the food was actually really good. The only downside is there is no vegan options so mum didn't really have any choice!
We ordered 2 starters to share, the potato skins and garlic mushrooms. Both were cooked really well and very tasty. The potato skins were more like chips really but I actually preferred it! For mains I had the Mac and Cheese which I found really tasty and not to over poweringly cheesy which I really hate! My partner had lamb which he raved about and mu opted for sausage egg and chips and gave the sausage to my Lo.
We then had deserts, I had the Oreo chocolate cake which was to die for! Jason had the hot chocolate brownie and my mum had the lemon meringue pie!
Now not only was the food really good. Tasty and well cooked but the price was also amazing! For all of our food plus a beer and a single serve Preseco it all came to £50!
I can honestly not fault this place so far and we will absolutely be returning!
